With everyone gone and Ubisoft taking the franchise in a different direction, Assassin’s Creed multiplayer was, for all intents and purposes, dead.Ī loyal fanbase is making an organized effort to resuscitate it, though - at least for just one weekend. The novelty had worn off and the player base moved on. Multiplayer was a success in Brotherhood, so it was added to Revelations. Tricking other players and blending into the environment worked wonderfully well, and it was a welcomed reprieve from all the other games that just asked you to shoot everybody.īut, Ubisoft ran it into the ground. Brotherhood was the first installment to introduce it, and it was really great.
